Online Foot Care Consultation by Video
A 30-minute video call with a European-trained podology specialist. Show us your feet, get a straight answer about what is going on, and leave with a written care plan — before you ever drive to Rockville.
Answers First. Appointments Second.
Most people who call us are not sure what they are dealing with. A nail has gone thick and yellow. A heel keeps splitting no matter how much cream goes on it. A corner of a toenail has been sore for months. The honest question underneath all of them is the same: is this something you can actually help with, and is it worth my trip?
An online consultation answers that question in 30 minutes, without a two-hour round trip from Baltimore or a morning off work. You join a private Zoom call, hold your phone camera to your feet, and a licensed specialist walks through what she sees, what is likely causing it, what can be improved cosmetically, and what genuinely needs a physician instead of us.
You are not buying a sales call. You are buying a professional opinion, in writing, from someone who looks at feet all day.
How the Online Consultation Works
Four steps, start to finish. Nothing to install if you are on a laptop — the Zoom link opens in your browser.
Write to us on WhatsApp
Message us on WhatsApp and we will offer you the next available slots. Pick one, pay the $40 fee, and the time is held for you.
Get your private Zoom link
It arrives in the same WhatsApp chat once your slot is confirmed, together with a short intake form and a one-page guide on how to photograph and light your feet so the specialist can actually see the detail.
Talk for 30 minutes, live
History, footwear, daily routine, what you have already tried. Then the visual part: nail plate, nail folds, heels, pressure points, skin quality. You ask everything you meant to ask and forgot last time.
Receive your written plan within 24 hours
A summary by email: what was observed, the home-care routine, product categories to use and to stop using, which in-studio service would fit, roughly how many sessions, and any referral we recommend.
What You Walk Away With
A clear read on what you have
Plain language, not jargon. Including the cases where what looks like fungus is trauma, psoriasis, or an old bruise growing out.
A written home-care routine
Specific steps, frequency, and product categories — plus the things to stop doing, which is usually the half that matters most.
A realistic treatment path
Which service fits, how many visits it typically takes, what results look like at each stage, and what it will cost you overall.
An honest referral, if needed
If what we see belongs with a podiatrist or a dermatologist, we say so on the call and tell you what to ask them.
Who Books an Online Consultation
You are arranging care for a parent
Adult children book this constantly. Join the call together, or join on their behalf with photos, and find out what is realistic before committing an older parent to a trip. More on foot care for seniors.
You do not know which service to book
Medi Pedicure or Wellness? Toenail bracing or just a proper trim? Rather than guess from a price list, have someone look at your feet and tell you which one you actually need.
You want a second opinion
You were told to remove a nail, or a salon left you worse than before, and you would like a calm read from someone with no stake in the first answer.
Leaving the house is difficult right now
Limited mobility, no car, a schedule that will not bend. You can still get a professional plan and start the home-care half of it today.
What a Video Call Can and Cannot Do
We would rather set this out plainly than have you book the wrong thing. A camera is very good at some of this and useless at the rest.
| Online — $40 | In studio — $60 | |
|---|---|---|
| Visual assessment of nails & skin | Yes, with good lighting | Yes, under magnification |
| History, footwear & routine review | Yes, in full | Yes, in full |
| Written care plan | Emailed within 24h | Same day |
| Tactile check — texture, thickness, tenderness | Not possible | Yes |
| Callus, corn or thick-nail work | Not possible | Yes |
| Fitting a toenail brace | Not possible | Yes |
Rule of thumb: at $40 online tells you what and whether. In studio is where the hands-on work happens. Many clients do both — the call first, the visit once they know it is worth booking. See the in-studio podology consultation for comparison.
How to Prepare (5 Minutes)
The quality of the call comes down almost entirely to what the camera can see. Five minutes of setup is the difference between a useful assessment and a guess.
Sit by a window
Daylight beats any lamp. Avoid overhead light directly behind you.
Bare, clean, dry feet
No polish, no cream on the day of the call — cream hides texture and colour.
Use your phone camera
Easier to angle at your feet than a laptop. Wipe the lens first — it matters more than you think.
Have your everyday shoes nearby
Wear patterns inside a shoe explain a surprising number of foot problems.
Send photos beforehand
Three or four close-ups sent in the WhatsApp chat let us come to the call already prepared.
Write your questions down
Thirty minutes goes fast. A list means nothing gets remembered on the drive home instead.
What This Consultation Is Not
MedPedicure Center provides cosmetic foot care and aesthetic restoration. An online consultation is a cosmetic care consultation, not telemedicine and not a medical appointment. We do not diagnose disease, we do not prescribe medication, and nothing said on the call replaces an examination by a licensed physician or podiatrist.
If we see something outside our scope — a suspected infection, a wound that is not healing, unusual pigmentation, a diabetic complication — we will tell you clearly on the call and point you to the right specialist. If you are experiencing severe pain, spreading redness, fever, or an open wound, contact a physician now rather than booking a call.
